Frederic Rzewski - The People United Will Never Be Defeated (1974) Rodrigo Lira

Frederic Rzewski, born in Westfield, Massachusetts in 1938 is a virtuoso pianist active presence since the early 60's, studied Harvard and shared with John Cage and David Tudor. He wrote the play 'Jefferson' in 1970, based on the front lines of the declaration of American independence in 1972 wrote 'Coming Together' where low instruments accompany the reading of a letter written by a prisoner in Attica prison, New York ( topic also addressed by John Lennon, at the time).
